Jo

I recently visited a horse for the first time, his rug was removed and as I looked all I could feel was stress and anxiety. His body was rigid and there was no connection between the front and back end. I felt his stress in my body and the anxiety in my tummy.I was told by my guides "that he can not cope, he feels pressure and then it all becomes too much for him. He then panics and all reasoning is lost" I let Jo sniff my hands and spoke quietly to him. While I was doing this he was sticking his jaw out and tensing, "too much too much" came to me "didn't understand".I was shown pictures of a very young Jo to young to be ridden but he had a rider on his back. I turned to his owners and told them what I had been told and seen. They confirmed that he had been backed at 18 months as he had been bred to race. Jo has been with his new family for a while and they have taken him back to basics. But it is just how I was told he can not cope with pressure and panics.I stood with Jo and spoke to his owners who are desperate to help him. His riders energy is lovely and gentle and I explained how he needs to breath around Jo. By breathing deeply and grounding Jo will feel calmness from his rider. I told them that I was worried about how rigid his back is and dowsed over him so they could see the difference. By the shoulders the crystals spiralled and showed the mass of energy contained there. Beyond the saddle the crystals did not move there was no reaction. I explained that he was tighter in the right shoulder and this would make riding on the left rein very difficult. Jo would also find it difficult to power from behind it is like there is no connection. His energy is totally blocked within the body causing stress and tension.I took the rope and gently worked Jo with body energy so that he took his focus off his mouth and started to think. He picked it up very quickly and as we were working he began to feel calmer and grounded. I then started healing from a distance opening my heart and offering Jo love and understanding. After a while I placed my hand on his shoulder. I kept me energy very low and his head came down and he stood as if sedated while the healing was accepted. He told me how he could not cope, when he was young he did not understand what was being asked and could not canter. I was shown pictures of his body to immature to canter with a rider and not understanding and then the beatings he received. As a result of this Jo now tenses as soon as someone gets on and as soon as more is asked he panics and expects the worst. Jo took a big breath and sighed and then licked and chewed and yawned as his voice was heard. He then started to come out of his healing doze. he stretched from nose to tail as the body let go of stress. Jo then became a little agitated as he was not used to feeling relaxed and letting go. I told him he was safe and that he was ok nothing would happen to him. I stood with him while he calmed down and explained to his owner how Jo felt. How even relaxing had caused him panic it is not some thing he has felt very much in his life.Jo has spent most of his life stressed and locked away in his anxious world.Jo has had a mental breakdown, it will take a long while for Jo to feel safe within him self. Safe enough not only to trust himself but also to trust the people who are prepared to give him time. Thankfully Jo is in a lovely home and they are prepared to learn new ways to give Jo confidence. www.horsesvoice.co.uk
