Letting go of the past
I went out this week to see a lovely little stallion we will call him Markie. Markie is a stunning pony, my clients had not owned Markie for long and I was warned to wear plenty of layers! I arrived to meet Markie who does have a tendency to bite everyone he meets and I was no different.Markie is not angry, underneath the act he is a wonderful cheeky pony, I just had to break down the barriers to let the real chap out and find out what had happened to make him act like this. Sure enough at the start of the healing he tried to leave his mark and I had to work him a bit with energy to make him listen and realise that this behaviour was not acceptable. Then all of a sudden he became calm his head dropped and he started to communicate with me. I was drawn to his front legs and could see white bandages on them which my guides used the word splints. I kept asking for more details and Markie showed me that he was cross tied in a stable and left for a long time. His nose dropped to the floor as he showed me how he used to stand the left rope was shorter and this caused muscle spasm in his neck and his mood was of total dejection. He seemed to think that this was how ponies were kept.I told his owner what I was seeing and told her I could not make sense of it, he was definitely kept tied up in his stable and the legs were bandaged. There was no fun in his life he was totally switched off and not how a young pony should be. His owner told me that he was shown as a foal and when they have white socks some places bandage them at night and tie up the horses so that they can not lie down and get dirty. Markie showed me nothing about being shown but I was concerned with how dejected he was at this time. It appears that Markie was always treated as the bad pony and the words should have been shot at birth have been used. He was not treated with love or respect but brute force and anger and so he adopted the same. If people beat you enough then you become the same and fight back the pony mirrors the treatment he receives.Underneath the behaviour there is a beautiful being who until now has never been allowed to shine. Markie licked and chewed and yawned as we discussed his past, his owner then said that they could not touch the top of his head. I reached up his neck and started scratching between his ears and felt a huge amount of anxiety up there which I started to heal. He stayed calm and relaxed and his owner could not believe it that here had been no reaction. I then got her to do the same and I have asked her to gently massage the area to relax him.It was a very interesting healing, I am glad that Markie is now in good hands and will continue to be understood and shine.
