Run free 19/03/2018
Many horses I visit have one direct message "join us in our world, find peace freedom and just being in the moment." Our world is a very busy place mobile phones demand our constant attention there is never any switch off time. We are forgetting what peace and just being is all about, are we not wrong to take this world to our horses? The horses would very much like for us to join them in their space of just being. Feeling your senses coming alive and connecting with all around you.Imagine how it would feel for our natural instincts to take hold. To run barefoot on the earth, laughing, screaming, feeling alive in every part of our body. Our minds still and at peace as we sink into and absorb what is now.The horses are the same longing to run free prancing, bucking, feeling the earth beneath their hooves. To feel the wind to be free and without constraints. To run from the noise of the world radios, phones, voices, traffic, the energy of all causing much confusion to the senses.Their yearnings become more and more faint as mankind takes hold. The need to stop and stare, to embrace the moment with no agenda. Their whole being like a trail through a forest and the need to gallop becomes more and more faint, until confusion abounds.A horses soul can not and will not be carved into a human acceptable form. The horse has much to teach us, to break the shackles of the norm and expectations. To bury the dream that is yours and not theirs, to reclaim the wild and for us to follow. They want to introduce us to their wild ways to release the shackles that abound and run free. To excite the heart and feel the rhythm deep within. To inspire you to seek new ways, to cut the cords release the restrictions and feel the energy. It is time for us to walk with our horses in their space. Switch off the phone, tell people you are not available, shut the lid on the computer. Then walk to your horses feeling each foot on the earth, connecting, releasing all anxiety. Breath deeply, breathing in calmness and letting go of all stress. As you focus on your breath feel your mind becoming quiet. Then stand and place your hand on your horses shoulder, keep breathing deeply and tune into your sense of touch, feel the warmth and softness under your hand. As you breath in smell their beautiful smell, breath out feeling your energy coming down. On your next breath take your awareness to your heart and feel the love for your horse flowing down your arm and into them. Quietly ask your horse to accept your heart connection, to teach you right from wrong and guide you to horse.Continue to breath deeply just focusing on your hand and the beautiful connection. If your horse licks and chews, lick and chew back give to each other. Stay with your horse for as long as they will allow then give your thanks and love as you both release the connection.
